Laboratory Conduct and Safety:
Punctuality and Attendance:
* Report to the lab on time. Latecomers will not be allowed to enter.
* Be attentive during attendance.
Dress Code and Safety Measures:
* Wear shoes and full dress before entering the lab.
* Do not touch open metal terminals without verification from the TA.
Experiment Setup and Verification:
* Connect the circuit and ensure verification by the TA or research scholar before starting the experiment.
* Work cautiously around the 415 V, 3-phase supply; handle all equipment with care.
Laboratory Decorum:
* The laboratory is a space for learning and experimentation, not a playground. Maintain proper discipline.
* Always seek assistance from the lab TA or research scholar before handling unfamiliar equipment or setups.
Submission of Practical Record:
Timely Submission:
* The practical record (completed in all aspects) must be submitted on the next turn after performing the experiment.
* Late submissions will result in a deductible grade, which will deteriorate further with each additional delay.
* Submissions made after three weeks of performing the experiment will be awarded zero marks.
Recording Dates:
* Clearly mention the date of practical performance and the date of submission for each experiment in the record.
Presentation Standards:
* Use different colors of pens or sketch pens for better presentation. Avoid usage of Red or Green pen or ketch pens.
* All diagrams (e.g., circuit diagrams, phasor diagrams) must be drawn on the left-side page with a white background (no lines).
* Diagrams must be drawn neatly using pencils and geometry tools. Free-hand diagrams will not be accepted.
Numbering System:
* Experiment Numbers:
# The experiment performed on the first turn will be Experiment No. 1, and the numbering will increase sequentially (e.g., on 2nd turn, Experiment No. 2 will be performed).
# Submit the experiment on the next turn; otherwise, it will be counted as a late submission.
* Figures, Tables, and Equations:
# Use the format:
# Figures: Fig N.f (e.g., Fig 1.1: Circuit diagram for KVL).
# Tables: Table N.t (e.g., Table 1.1: Verification of Thevenin’s theorem).
# Equations: N.e.
# N = Experiment Number, f = Figure Number, t = Table Number, e = Equation Number.
* Pastes graphs (if required) and number them as figures with captions.
Content Requirements:
* Observations and Conclusions: Write in your own words in English only.
* Calculations: Include all relevant calculations for each experiment.
Marks Allocation:
* Each experiment will be evaluated out of 10 marks, with 3 marks assigned for presentation.
