List of Experiments:

  1. Verification of superposition theorem.
  2. Verification of Thevenin’s theorems.
  3. Verification of Norton’s Theorems.
  4. Verification of maximum power transfer theorem.
  5. To study R-L-C series circuit and find the value of inductance. Also draw the phasor diagram.
  6. To find out turn ratio and flux density of a single-phase transformer.
  7. To perform the open circuit and short circuit test of a single phase transformer and to draw the equivalent circuit after determining its constants.
  8. Find out the Eddy current and Hysteresis losses in single-phase transformer.
  9. Measurement of induced E.M.F. and magnetizing current under open-circuit condition in D.C. generators.
  10. To measure armature and field resistance of D.C. shunt generator and to obtain its open circuit characteristics.
  11. To draw speed-torque characteristics of D.C. shunt/series /compound generator.
  12. To study D.C. motor starters and to operate D.C. shunt motor using three-point/four point starter.
  13. To study speed control of D.C. shunt motor by armature voltage control method.
  14. To study speed control of D.C. shunt motor by field current control method.
  15. Applying open circuit test on three-phase induction motor.
  16. Applying short circuit (blocked rotor) test on three-phase induction motor.
  17. To study the different starting methods of three-phase induction motors & also study how to reverse the direction of rotation in a three-phase induction motor.
  18. Determine the permeability of a magnetic material by plotting its B-H curve.
