Simulation of Open-loop control of converter fed DC motor Drives.
Apparatus Required:
- Computer system installed with MATLAB.

Procedures: –
- Open MATLAB Simulink. (Click here)
- Select Blank model. (Click here)
- Open simulink library or double click left button of mouse. (Click here)
- Insert all components from library for simulation. (Click here)
- Make a simulation of single-phase thyristor converter and connect DC machine. (Click here)
- Set firing angle for different output voltage. (Click here)
- Change the AC voltage source parameter & DC Machine Excitation Voltage Amplitude. (Click here)
- Connect bus selector with scope to see the wave form of different parameters of DC machine. (Click here)
- Connect Input Voltage, Output Voltage, Armature Current & Field Excitation Voltage to Scope for Waveform. (Click here)
- Select multiple port and display in Scope for wave form. (Click here)
- Connect a Display to see the value of input voltage, output voltage, armature current, field excitation voltage & speed (connect a gain box in for conversion of speed from rad/sec to rpm. (Click here)
