Apparatus Required:

  1. Computer system installed with MATLAB.

Procedures: –

  1. Open MATLAB Simulink. (Click here)
  2. Select Blank model. (Click here)
  3. Open simulink library or double click left button of mouse. (Click here)
  4. Insert all components from library for simulation. (Click here)
  5. Make a simulation of single-phase thyristor converter and connect DC machine. (Click here)
  6. Set firing angle for different output voltage. (Click here)
  7. Change the AC voltage source parameter & DC Machine Excitation Voltage Amplitude. (Click here)
  8. Connect bus selector with scope to see the wave form of different parameters of DC machine. (Click here)
  9. Connect Input Voltage, Output Voltage, Armature Current & Field Excitation Voltage to Scope for Waveform. (Click here)
  10. Select multiple port and display in Scope for wave form. (Click here)
  11. Connect a Display to see the value of input voltage, output voltage, armature current, field excitation voltage & speed (connect a gain box in for conversion of speed from rad/sec to rpm. (Click here)
