List of Experiments:

  1. To conduct tensile test on a given specimen by Universal Testing Machine (UTM) and determine yield strength, ultimate tensile strength, percentage elongation, percentage reduction in area and modulus of elasticity.
  2. To conduct compression test on a given specimen by Universal Testing Machine (UTM) and determine yield strength, ultimate compressive strength and modulus of elasticity.
  3. To conduct double shear test by Universal Testing Machine (UTM) and determine shear
    strength of the material of a given specimen.
  4. To conduct torsion test on a given specimen by Torsion Testing Machine to find out the angle of twist, shear stress and modulus of rigidity.
  5. To conduct the impact test and determine the impact strength of a given specimen by Charpy and Izod methods.
  6. To determine the stiffness of a spring and modulus of rigidity of the spring wire on Spring Testing Machine.
  7. To determine the hardness of a given metallic specimen by Brinell hardness test method.
  8. To determine the hardness of a given metallic specimen by Rockwell hardness test method.
  9. To determine the hardness of a given metallic specimen by Vicker hardness test method.
  10. To determine the endurance limit of a given specimen under fatigue loading on rotating cantilever type Fatigue Testing Machine.
