  1. A cuboidal wooden block is taken on which proper dimensions were, marked using steel rule and pencil.
  2. Now, the wooden piece were cut by using power saw of required dimension 100 mm x 80 mm x 80mm.
  3. The diagonals on both the end using scriber were marked to identify the Centre.
  4. Then, workpiece was fixed on carpentry vice to cut the one side of diagonal at & depth of 2-3 mm using tenon saw, so that it can be fixed on wood turning. lathe easily as its Centre point is known.
  5. The longitudinal edges were flattened using an axle.
  6. The wooden blow was then held on wood turning lathe to make cylindrical shape by turning operation.
  7. Now, the one end of block was fixed on head stock of lathe and facing operation was performed on another end, and then other end is also faced similarly to reduce the length of block was fixed on head from 100mm to 60mm, more than 60 mm (little).
  8. The turning was performed to reduce its diameter to 60mm or about a little more than 60mm. while performing turning, its diameter was constantly using checked after each pass of turning using the outside caliper.
  9. The workpiece was then held between head stock and tail stock of wood turning lathe, 10mm and 50 mm from one end was marked as shown in figure.
  10. Using a chisel, the wood was removed between 10mm and 50 mm mark.
  11. The diameter was constantly checked using an outside caliper till it become 50 mm.
  12. The block was then smoothened using sand paper of 180 grads.
  13. The extra length was then removed.
  14. Then, drilling operation is done on fixing lathe machine by fixing one end on head stock, to make the cavity as required.
  15. At the last the pattern was cut into two halves resulting into double piece pattern for half, bearing block.
  16. Again, using, sand paper the resulting pattern was smoothened for finishing.
